47492 - WCRC Carnforth 27-01-2011

Now part of the WCRC 47492 is seen at Carnforth.

47492 was stored by EWS from the WHBF pool in January 1999, and sold for preservation in 2003. The locomotive moved to Carnforth for restoration and work commenced culminating in a start up in 2009. Work subsequently stopped and the locomotive was sold to WCRC.

47492 is a source of spares for the WCRC and is currently stood on class 37 bogies without roof and with a stripped engine inside.

47492 is the former D1760
