37073 (D6773) Was Withdrawn From Service By EWS in October 2000 immediately following a period working in France as part of the WKMF pool, upon return to the UK 37073 was tripped to EWS Wigan CRDC where it's power unit was removed for sale and fitting to preserved 37003, following a further period in store at the CRDC the remains of the 37073 were sold to Ian Riley and Sons at Bury where the loco was stripped for spares and scrapped onsite at the ELR during April 2003.
