37144 (D6844) Was Withdrawn From Service By Trainload Freight on the 18th March 1994 from the FCPA Trainload Freight - Immingham Cl. 37 Pool following a brief allocation to the RBJI - Regional Railways NE Pool.
Following a long period in store 37144 was allocated for Component Recovery by EWS in September 1999 before being purchased by DRS in October 2001 and initially moved to Brush Loughborough for Overhaul. This was in time cancelled and 37144 stripped for spares and eventually and scrapped by Simsmetal Uk Ltd in November 2003.
